Oscillate Weirdly
A 6 track leftfield/idm single (52m 10s) — released July 24th 2012 on Shabu Recordings
We, at Shabu, are really hyped for that EP. This EP has been cooking for a long time and now we are ready to serve it. Falling From Cloud 9 – Oscillate Weirdly is a " out of the box " experience, blending many inspirations into dripplets of an unknown territory. FFC9's music is hard to qualify but the term " unique " comes back quite often. In that experience, we had the chance to work with Kate Wax who reinterpreted " Do You Know What I Meant To " like one of her own track, unleashing huge amounts of vocals and a dark atmosphere. Also, SHA001's remixer Jesse Somfay makes an appearance, rebending " Do You Know What I Meant To " into a track that lies in the grey area between Trance and Techno.
Heavily inspired by Krautrock and having been raised on a blend of DIY Punk and Trojan Dub Reggae, British multi-instrumentalist Falling from Cloud employs a richly organic combination of orchestral dynamics, live improvisation and analogue led psychedelics to layer a dense panoramic soundscape which readily converts to a thundering dancefloor ambience. The debut EP, Oscillate Weirdly is available on Shabu Records July 10th.
